Buckhorn Energy Services, LLC Acquires Special Use Landfill In The Williston Basin

DENVER, May 13, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — Buckhorn Energy Services, LLC announced today that it had acquired Oaks Disposal Services LLC near Glendive, Montana.  Oaks disposal is a Montana-based special waste landfill capable of disposing natural occurring radioactive material (NORM) and other oilfield solid waste.  This is the only facility within a five state radius permitted to dispose of NORM.  The Oaks facility opened in 2013, and is designed to assist the energy industry in waste disposal including NORM. Terms of the acquisition were not released.

Gary Ebel, Buckhorn Energy Services CEO, said: “Buckhorn is very pleased to announce this expansion of our services in the industry.  This operation added to our fluids disposal in North Dakota and Texas, expands our capabilities and further enhances our abilities to serve our energy customers. Ross Oakland and his team built a first class facility and we are excited to have them as part of the Buckhorn team.  Our location will assist our customers in reducing their costs in solids waste disposal. This acquisition demonstrates our company’s commitment to grow into a core services provider to oil and gas companies operating in the Williston Basin. ”
